David Aaron Troy's strong sense of documentary and travel photography derives from his past, a route that has been littered with a lot of good, and, a lot of not so good. It's all of those first hand life experiences that have helped to shape his photography and to provide a window for his style. The world - and life are his school. From being thrown out of high school and placed into a juvenile facility in the late 80's, to a highly respected golden gloves boxer in the 90's, and everything in between, right threw being practically homeless five years ago due to a life long battle with alcoholism, now 5 years sober. He's always found it odd when someone ask him for a bio, as his, only a mother of pirate would be proud of.

To his credit, his work has appeared in Communication Arts and Photo District News, with a wide range of clients in search of that "real feel", such as Medicare, Liberty Life, Arnold Worldwide, and the Richards Group

After living in NYC for years and years, he finally came home, to his high school sweetheart, in which they are currently adoring their new baby girl, in little known town outside of Gettysburg, PA.
