How Wine Became Modern: Design + Wine 1976 to Now
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA)
The Optimist, an award-winning wine bottle design created by Greg Bennett has been selected to take part in an exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The exhibition is titled How Wine Became Modern: Design + Wine 1976 to Now. This exhibition presented by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and designed in collaboration with architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro explored the visual transformation of three decades of wine culture showcasing the most innovative and cutting-edge strategies in label, glassware, and winery design.
The Optimist was one of only 200 wine bottle concepts chosen to represent creative excellence in wine bottle design. Greg's extremely delighted to have his work recognized as museum quality. “It’s quite an honor to have my design grace the walls of such a prestigious institution,” Bennett says.
