How Wine Became Modern Exhibit
WORKtoDATE is pleased to announce that The Optimist, an award-winning wine bottle design created by Greg Bennett has been selected for inclusion in an exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The exhibition is titled How Wine Became Modern: Design + Wine 1976 to Now. It will be taking place from November 20, 2010 through April 17, 2011. The exhibition is being developed in collaboration with internationally renowned architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro, explores the contemporary visual culture of wine.
The Optimist is one of only 200 wine bottle designs chosen to represent creative excellence in wine bottle design. Greg's extremely delighted to have his design recognized as museum quality. “It’s quite an honor to have my work grace the walls of such a prestigious institution,” Bennett says.
