Recharge | Event Poster

Recharge was created to promote The Art Institute of York — Pennsylvania Annual Alumni Exhibit. The concept for this poster is "Recharge" which has relevance because the alumni exhibit is installed each year to provide inspiration or "an inspirational recharge" for the students, faculty and visitors. The result is a design with a sea of inspirational messaging, non-traditional graphics all creating an unusual yet visually arresting piece.

This poster was letterpress printed by Studio On Fire. Letterpress is a printing process which leaves an inked impression in the paper from wood or lead type, graphic plates and so on. The result is a beautiful, tactile, high-end printed piece with much visual appeal. Letterpress also adds commemorative value to any well-designed printed piece. Hey musicians and promoters, wouldn’t this also make a fine show or event poster! Like I mentioned before, this poster was letterpressed however because of the way this artwork was illustrated, this poster could have also been easily screen printed to accommodate even the most modest budget.

Production Notes: This limited edition poster was letterpress printed, three spot colors, on French Poptone 65 Cover Whip Cream by Studio On Fire. The finished size is 18 x 23 inches.
